I think my query has already been answered ! I want to get a giclee print of a 1000cm square painting on canvas but I ,m not sure about who to get to do the initial photograph...I only have a not very good digital camera. I will do some research but would appreciate anybodies advice on this. I bet it costs lots of dosh too!

Is that 1000cm as is 10metres? If so that's quite a task!

The main thing with photographing artwork, particularly for print, is to ensure even lighting and positioning of the camera. At that size I think you'd definitely need to use a medium or large format camera unless your reproductions are going to be of limited size.

Oh hello there, I am such an idiot I meant 100cm as in 1 metre ! Thanks for your help though...I have managed to get a professional photographer in Edinburgh who will do the initial large format slide for me not too expensive. Looks like I need to go back to school and do some sums !!
