I thought it was about time I introduced myself as it is only seven months since I joined!!! Can't rush these things! Anyway please feel free to browse my website which will tell you about my art background. I have been drawing and painting since I can remember which is now a VERY long time and all I can say is that your artistic mind never ages! More than that I am not prepared to disclose but let's just say I don't count birthdays any more! I use a wide range of materials in my work and I just love the process of producing a piece of artwork whatever the subject matter. It is great to read all the comments posted on this forum and the thing that is particularly good is the way people are so willing to pass on useful information of all kinds, including the dreaded scams. If you feel unsure of something rely on your instinct as you are probably right! Scams come in many guises, usually with a requirement for payment included! The work on the Artists Web is wonderful - so diverse and fascinating and I think TAW will just continue to grow and grow. What a great idea and it's fantastic to meet so many talented people in one place!

I love it!!

Hi Val, you know I have been on TAW for months as well and I don't recall introducing myself either
Quite a few of us came to TAW from another art forum, so we knew each other anyway (well that's my excuse!)

Love your Childrens castle painting, magical :) there is still a bit of child in all of us, whatever age we achieve :)

I have seen you on the forum over the past few months and hope ageism is a thing of the past as in our heads and hearts we are all 12 :D,maybe us creative people are all peter pans and that's what makes us tick. I think Admin are trying to break the ice to get the people that havn't posted to have a go.
I know when I joined my very first forum I was scared witless thinking it was just for teenagers and what on earth would I say,but you are all a mixed bunch which is really nice.It is interesting finding out about peoples other lives away from art,as it can become a little tedious if it is all about just one topic somehow it makes it a more friendly place like a cafe dropping in for a chat and adice.

Hi Val :D

I love your artwork, really fab.

As for the age thing, I've made up my mind to be and stay age 25. So every birthday i'm 25 even though I have children of 26 and 24 and a grandchild. I still need a natural cure for the little white hairs that seem to be appearing though! You are as young as you feel I think, why just go by what is on a little piece of paper!

Regards

Linda

Thanks everyone - what lovely comments - thank you so much - it really gives a boost to hear good things!

Totally agree about the age thing. I love it when I see 80 year olds going sky diving!!!! (I'm nowhere near 80 I hasten to add!).

Best regards to everyone.

Val
