im new to this scene check out my canvases.

my Ghosts paintings are inspired by the student houses i was living in at the time of studying fine art at derby uni.

in particular ghosts4 contains some likenesses...

i just wanted to post a short description of each on here to maybe get peeps looking therell b more indepth stuff when i get more time to look at and upgrade my site.
also im the first to admit that my work is quite rough where presentation is concerned and please note that some of the paintings are a little wonky in the photos...
im working on it!

1. Skulls. I painted this triptych when i was 16 at sixth form college. straightforward oil painting on wood with a subtle hint of o'kieffe in there (i am so sorry for spelling!)

2. Ghosts1. a small canvas i painted at uni. its a look at what could happen to the landscape we see everyday of our lives if we carry on as we are, we will become ghosts.
the left is the end and the right is the present and in between is crazy... make sense? no... you'll see.

3. Ghosts2. An abstract piece which shows spirits leaving a property. i used shadows and flat colours to create a strange perspective... which is a key ingredient for any one whos looking for ghosts... hint; they arent in the paintings...

4. Ghosts 3. this image represents fire and energy it shows the metaphorical "street in which we live" burning
The exact moment of rage and fear thrown together creating spirit energy... im not obsessed i assure u...

5. ghosts 4. this is a more straightforward approach this canvas shows the different planes of energy in our existence (depicted from light to dark) its a literal vision of what could be and there are some actual ghosts in there... the white represents the "divisions" where it is broken shows that it isnt infallable and relates to the fact that there have been witnesses.
