Hi everyone, I just found the site and joined right away. I'm into loads of creative things, though don't particularly get a huge deal of time, so I thought I'd tap in and get some motivation here! I'm really into photography, I like painting and constructing clothes and design/make curtains and blinds at the moment too! So a bit of everything thrown in there!! What do you all do?

Louisa

Hi there Louisa and elcome to the forum! Lots of nice peeps here to talk to!
Wow, you seem to be very multi-talented indeed! I am hopeless with textiley things, I have trouble sewing on a button to be honest! :D
I just paint I'm afraid, wish I was a bit more diverse but hey-ho!
Don't forget to post a link to your work when you get your website up and running as we all like a good nosey!

Good Luck!
Chris.

Oooops! Sorry Louisa, that should read "Welcome" not "elcome"! Must improve my typing skills as well as my sewing skills!

Hee! Never mind mistakes, we're not expected to be great typists too!!

I just enjoy lots of things and like to try and challenge myself, but with two toddlers it's hard to get time - and I like to leave my stuff on the table to come back to, with littlies around it can be a bit hectic if I suddenly have the urge to make something!!

Hi Louise and welcome :D You certainly cover most things.I am afraid I am like Christine avoid sewing at all costs  but am working to overcome my sewing phobia which goes back to my school days,I was absolutely terrified of a sewing machine, took me years to work out how to thread the bobbin, let alone make anything respectable, give me a hammer and chissel anyday  I hope you enjoy it here.

Awww, thanks guys. It might seem like I cover loads, but honestly getting the time is another thing, so I probably spend less time doing all of those things than you do with your talents!

Really would love to get into it more though, perhaps there's some art I can buy here - just moved to a bigger house and need to decorate the walls with something stylish, I don't think I want to do that myself! Any ideas?

Well I've just read a new message telling me it looks like I'm being paid to post here, that's a nice welcome!! I'll discount it as the site being on top of that etc!

I'm here to find inspiration and see where others get inspiration - it's motivation enough to see some other peoples work. I've added some of my pictures to the free web bit of the site but where they've been resized they're out of focus, it would be nice to know what you think. . . they're just amateur pics really but I had to start somewhere.

I generally like to take a different aspect - taking pics in the dark I just love because you see so many posed pictures so I thought I'd take an alternative view, which I'm sure people have done before.

As for my painting, the last three I did I sold and I've nothing else to showcase I'm afraid, I just have given myself 'busy' excuses and haven't done a real piece of work (painting etc) for around eight years, my favourite was a pencil drawing of elephants with painted scenery. It's vanished, possibly into my parents loft!
