Really? I'm always suspicious of people that appear to join purely to praise a site...maybe i'm just a cynic
when i click on any gallery this is what i get
Total pictures in all categories: 29
Total number of hits on all pictures: 757
Back to Gallery Overview

no images - nothing... i've tried in IE in case its a firefox issue but nothing. so if i was a customer i'd be off double quick to a better site and not waste time here.. :)

I can see the pictures. I think the site looks pretty cool, I may consider signing up but when I checked the terms of agreement I didn't see anywhere stated that the artwork submitted remains the property of the artist and that the artist continues to hold copyright. I think that should be clearly stated.

Well, the way I see it is that it's a new site. There's not much on it now but it could grow. It's free and you can put your work on it. Any publicity is good publicity.
Don't see what there is to lose really.
Cheers
Mark H.

jeanniezelos there is no problem with the page in IE or firefox.
every gallery category shows how many pictures in total users have added.
Since the site is new (only up and running for about 2 weeks) a lot of categories still have no pictures. If you try again you will see that some have pictures and some are empty.

Pixelpaint, thanks for the suggestion, i will look into making the terms page a little more comprehensive.

ok - i see now but maybe you could put something like " no images at present in this gallery" save the confusion of thinkig you can see images? i just clicked at random on the galleries and clearly got ones with mo images.
on the point about Any publicity is good publicity. I'd disagree. if you want your work to show at its best you need to look at whaere its placed and constantly update and if its all over the place you'll foirget where it is and about updating it. I know because i took the same view initially when i started on the web and have bits of art on loads of sites that i've forgotten - its not necessarily good as the sites can change into a context where i may not choose to have my work placed, or change T&C after i've joined without my knowing. I think with hindsight I would be far more choosy about what sites I joined. Thats a personal view I accept and not eveyone will agree but...its something to consider.
I am now concentrating on my home site and 2-3 others rather than every opportunity that comes along. This site may end up one of the best and then i'll have missed an op to get in at the beginning but thats the way things go.

Great name though :D . I was toying with idea of a site once and wanted simply artbox for name but the owners wanted ££££ for it...

Hi

Is this site just for paintings and drawings, or can you put Jewellery on there too?

I agree to a point with Jeannie Zelos you can join too many, and it's a pain keeping them all updated.A few established ones that have proved themselves to produce sales and marketing after maybe a years subscription,is a better prospect than loads of free vanity sites.Although that doesn't mean not keeping a close eye on new ones and checking them out.

Agree with you there Wendy. Back in the day I belonged to every single one I could find - took all of my time just uploading and updating, no time to actually paint much at all  I just keep to a few now spread out across the planet and of course my own one, which does well enough for most there. I will take a look though at this one as it's my side of the world - not a lot of them about here and might be able to get a dialogue going 8)
