Good morning all, I've attached another painting I did in watercolours just before xmas. Views would be appreciated. Thanks PS the standard of Art on this forum is very good.

Hi and welcome :D I saw this the other day and thought how delightful it was,forgive me for not answering sooner but I was between changing my PC fromXP to Vista, and I had forgotten what a palaver it is changing all the files and stuff. :x
All sorted now :D

Hi Azza,

Watercolour portraits are hard I reckon. You've done well here though. I guess the light was from directly above, making it quite tricky to give any shadow much.
I do wonder if the grass would have worked better as a more simple wash, with just a bit of detail here and there. it just looks a bit busy.

Just my thought.
