Hi, I have booked with some other fellow artists to go to Earnley Concourse, in Chichester, for a weekend painting holiday. They have some great painting holidays on their website, so you might want to check them out. Our weekend has a painting seascapes theme, but they do allsorts, in all different media. They are definitely worth a look. If you just google Earnley Concourse you will see everything they do. Good Luck. Kathy

I've been on several painting holidays with the Field Studies Council and they've been really good. Accommodation and all food is provided so once you're there there's nothing to pay out. Cost me about £450 to £490 for a full week when I went (last time was 2 years ago). Maybe you should start with a weekend? There are loads of things to choose from but with me it usually comes down to cost, location and medium (I do watercolours). Also, do you want to paint outside or in the studio. When I went on my first course I had no idea what would happen but it was fine - and the people on the holidays are usually a mixture I'd never come into contact with!! I'm off to Glencoe this spring for a week so I'm looking forward to that! :D

I like your water colours Brigitte!

I am not sure I really want to go on a painting holidays as I like to work on my own really. Can't concentrate when other people are looking at what I am doing. Find it really hard.
I think I have enough with myself being there with all sorts of ideas and emotions floating about, trying to control and make some sense of what I am doing.
I wouldn't mind coaching other people though or even organising a painting holiday say in Croatia?

What does everybody think?
