I uploaded four images to my webpage on here, and put the copyright mark on all of them. I noticed that on the week ending 13th April one of my images had 28 views and another had 23.

I contacted admin, and they informed me of disabling 'right click'. I've done that now, and noticed the views have dropped a lot. But I'm still worried that any of those views could have meant someone downloading the image and using it online as their own material.

I am concerned, but I also feel foolish that I did not disable the right click earlier. Have I cause to be concerned, or is the copyright mark something they won't be able to get rid of ?

Thanks.

even if you disable right click a determined person will get round it - apparently its not hard. best thing to do is to ensure your images aren't hi res- about 72 dpi(i think i have the right term...) is best.
you have to learn to be philisophical about it - if they want to copy tyour work they will... its that or drive yourself into the grave getting stressed about it. So long as you use low res any prints they make can only be poor quality :)

if you find them selling on ebay - or being used on a website you can drop them an email reminding them of copyright leg - some people genuinely seem to believe if its on the web its for anyone to use!! and some know better but ignore it :)

I feel stupid for not knowing, but how do you go about disabling right click?

Click on 'Other Details' (top menu of admin page) then click on 'Preferences' underneath 'Advanced settings' then just make sure it says 'yes' next to 'Disable right click' on the list :)

I had also assumed that the images couldnt be downloaded if u'd ticked on the copyright option.

Not sure if anyone would want to download my work but have disabled right click for good measure.

Thanks for this info guys, its been very useful.
