Hi All,

I'm still buzzing from completing "Grazing Rights" (thanks again Tiff for the title!) and so thought I'd carry on with this one which I've had on the back burner for some time now....

I've decided to go smaller for this painting (24x16 inches approx.) and this time haven't struggled too much with the title, "Serenity", which I feel captures the tranquil mood of the lioness in the picture. What do you think?

Hi Gary,

Another great work mate.

I want one of those lion cubs now :) Can I get one at Aldi? Maybe not.

Hey, this is acrylic right? The reason i say is because it may be the photo, but it looks a little grey to me.
It's a great painting. I just would like a little more colour in there. For me anyhow.

Serenity NOW!

Chalky,

You may be in luck in getting a cub at Aldi cos' I know that when you're feeling a pppppppeckish you can always pppppppick up a penguin from there

The painting is in acrylic and I agree that the photo hasn't come out as truly lit as it should be (the original does have slightly more colour). I'll take another one in better lighting and update it on my website.....

It's always difficult getting a photo that truly represents the work you've made, isn't it. Somehow though that cold white light has a kind of heat to it. High noon - in a season when the sun is right up there - seems to bleach the world.
