I AM AN ARTIST,IN THE COUNTRYSIDE IN THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND.
HAVE BEEN AN ARTIST SINCE I FIRST DREW BREATH,HAVE TRAVELLED MUCH,BUT PUT DOWN ROOTS 15 YEARS AGO AS FOUND MYSELF IN CHARGE OF TWO OTHER LIVES,
AM NOW WORKING AS A CLEANER AND PAINTING MOSTLY IN MY HEAD,WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE TIME TO PAINT FOR REAL.
FEEL ISOLATED .

My answer to you is this I spent 14 years as a slave to other peoples wishes to no real avail. Then I decided to change all of that and become selfish and make time for my art, the best decision that I ever made, and I'm only sorry that I never done it in the beginning. So my answer to you is be selfish and make time, then they will learn to respect you more.

I know how difficult it is to find time for yourself when you have others to look after.
But for your own well being you should keep a little time to do what makes you feel happy,it is not bad to put yourself first sometimes.

You can get artist materials quite cheaply from outlets in most high streets so treat yourself and get started,don't leave it as I did untill mid life,I think of all those years I could have been much happier.
