Agora Gallery NYV is a notorious scam...

I received an email from a 'gallery assistant' at the Agora Gallery in New York. As I'm from New York - I know the reputation of Agora. It is what is called a "vanity gallery" and is not critically respected or legitimate.

Please avoid...it is a scam!!

I too have been contacted by them and was almost taken in when they asked to display a certain picture which I display on my website. Thank you for the warning.

Yup, they contacted me too, but I have just ignored it - generally, offers like that which sound too good to be true, are!

Let's face it, when someone asks for money, far too much money in my opinion, to promote you, then they have very little faith in their own business!

Oops! just contacted them with an email (now going to get spammed no doubt), but luckily didn't give them any further details. Pretty sure they have sent more than a few emails out - thanks for the tip.

Hi, yesd they contacted me as well. I am not sure if it is a real scam as I understand from other artists that they do offer the service that they say they will. However they are asking a very high fee for this servicewhich for most artists outweighs the benefit
