The Artists Web has been approached on various occasions by printers interested in some sort of partnership. We think that an attractive extra service for members would be the ability for shoppers to browse and buy prints of work aswell as the originals. We are currently reviewing some possible web based suppliers for this service. At this stage we imagine the service could be something along the lines of a 'Order Print' option next to your work on The Artists Web. The printing, shipping and payment would all be handled by the third party supplier who would pay a percentage of the sale value.

We would be interested to hear if you have any feedback on this as a possiblle feature, please post a reply!

Sounds like a great idea - I've been interested in having prints on sale for a while but it's so expensive to get them done yourself in small quantities. Would they be giclee prints or conventional prints? Who would determine the pricing?

Anyway, count me in.
cheers

Brilliant idea :D

I've been looking into having prints done but like Elise says for a small amount it can work out expensive. Count me in too!

Regards

Linda

Yeah, I'd definetely be interested in doing prints. I already offer a print sale service of my celebrity caricatures on my website. Having looked into it myself here in Glasgow, it needn't be that costly a process depending on where you go.
All the best,
Edd

depends very much on costs, materials, quality, presentation, and sizes. And the existence of accurate colour profiles.

I'd like to know more about who the printers are and what the quality would be like. I use photobox.co.uk for ordering prints and the quality is very good for the price, with a wide range of size and aspect ratio options.

If you already have paypal integration on your site, what would be the difference for the customer?

I guess that makes me "unsure" :)

I am very interested, but would like to know further details (i.e. costs, quality of prints etc.) But I do think it is a good idea.

Depends if it works out better value than who I use at the moment.
