Hi Richard

I think there are a few artists on this forum who have their work on Showdown.
I suggest that everybody who is on THIS WEEK put their link up, so that we can all vote for everybody.
My link is http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/showdo ... wpic=73010

So I would appreciate if you could vote for me this week and I will vote for you next week.
You might have to resend your invite next week , just to remind people again.

Good luck

Leyla

Hi
Have voted for you both, Jeannie and Leyla and Rosie too (anyone else out there this week?). Jeannie I love your encaustic work, I bought a little iron and kit earlier in the year, someone was demonstrating in a shop and it looked so easy and fun but I haven't really got to grips with it yet.

My entry is here

http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/showdo ... wpic=76147

same as last time I'm afraid, I might change it for the next round (assuming I don't win this time of course har har  )

cheers
Elise

Hi Elise - i've just voted for you - i love that piece its really eye catching.
I started with the little iron for encaustics but for these multi layered works I use a hot plate and brush the melted wax on, then seal it with a heat gun. ( had a few nice burns too...) it allows more freedon than the iron, although I do love having a play with the iron and seeing what results.
thanks for all your votes - I'm sure we're a few among hundreds but its free and its fun :D
for those who are in later ones remind me then and i'll vote. without a reminder i'll forget - I even forgot i had entered this until i saw another post on wed...
